The Soul Kings are a trio of Soul / Motown singers set up and line up similar to the Temptations or the Drifters. We work with a musical director and a professional sound and lighting company who supply a quality provision ensuring the very best of sound and lighting for our show. Our show is suitable for any entertainment from weddings to corporate shows and has such an impact that we are brought back repeatedly to entertain returning clients.

Act Introduction

The Soul Kings are a trio of soul singers whose visuals capture your attention from the moment they walk out on stage. They dress up in matching outfits with oversized disco afro wigs and wrap around sunglasses. Despite the humorous visuals, The Soul Kings sing live, fantastically well to excellent backing tracks. The Soul Kings pay tribute to the songs and songwriters of the seventies homage. The Soul Kings have been established since 2000. In that time they have carried out many prestigious events, some have been described below. The fact that the majority of their work is referral based, speaks it's own volume. From every event and performance undertaken, The Soul Kings are remembered and sought after for a variety of corporate occasions and private events. Since 2000 there has been a constant demand for the act. They have performed at corporate and private events all over the UK and as far away as Baku and Sardinia, entertaining guests and ministers at a high profile conference. Additionally, they kicked off the party for the Millennium at Stirling Castle and street party and supported Ms Dynamite and Culture Club at Edinburgh's New Year party in Princes Street Gardens 2002-2003. They have performed at prestigious venues such as Gleneagles Hotel and Skibo Castle and are in demand for events throughout the whole of the UK. Such a likeable act does not go unnoticed for long. The list is endless, from riverboats on the Thames to kicking off the Scottish rugby season in Glasgow where they were the first act ever to get a mention within a rugby review in the Scotsman.

What to expect

he Soul Kings are also the blue eyed boys of many Scottish radio stations, and the darlings of Forth DJ's, who on more that one occasion have requested The Soul Kings to entertain their corporate clients. This includes end of the Edinburgh Festival firework displays, corporate events and Charity dinners. The Soul Kings are a flexible act who can provide entertainment to satisfy any event whether corporate, private, weddings or charities. The Soul Kings come supplied with their dedicated professional sound & stage lighting system ensuring that your entire night's event is nothing short of fantastic!

Thanks for a truly fantastic night last night. I have to apologise for being such a pest with "cadbury" and trying to get his shirt off all night. Think he was getting a bit annoyed with me! lol. The night was a real success and we raised £5444 with lots of gift aid forms completed. I shall check all of those tomorrow but we could be up to about £7000 by the time we add that on. Have just returned from a totally swinging 50th birthday party at the Urban Brasserie at St Vincent's Place, Glasgow organised by Elle Gordon of Angelfish. Everyone was in fancy dress, the drink was flowing and The Soul Kings of Edinburgh were an outstanding and very funky live performance band. Amongst the guests were 2 Austin's (me from 10 minutes ago and me 10 minutes from now, Dr Evil and Felicity Shagwell as well as Hamish in an authentic East German military uniform – yay comrades, finally those capitalist pigs have paid for their crimes! Having MacGregor blood running through these veins it's always great to get a chance of performing in Scotland. Now it's time to recover – 'and I'm spent!'
