The Cheers are a fun and highly professional party band with a modern edge based in Surrey. Founded in June 2012, by three, The Cheers quickly became five, offering male and female lead vocals which forms part of their five piece, core line-up (the Quintet). Fast forward to current day and a few hundred events later, this versatile family of musicians offer a range of line-ups from a small but dynamic acoustic duo through to the stylish and powerful eight piece with four vocalists. This experienced and exciting collaboration perform a variety of classic and upbeat party tunes from the 50’s to current day; they want to ensure that your party is the best it can be so that you and your guests leave with great memories, and a story to tell! Coupled with the frequent weddings and parties The Cheers have performed at since 2012, this eclectic ensemble have entertained clients such as the US Embassy, Kraft-Heinz and Ericsson, to name a few. What to expect

As well as a professional service leading up to, and on the day of your event, all quotes represent the Classic Package offering. This includes: - Arrival & Set Up From 5:30pm - One Learned Song Request - Live Sets Tailored To You - 2 Hours Of Live Music (2x 1 Hour Or 3x 40 Minute Sets) - Upbeat Background Music (Before, Between, After Live Sets) - PA & Lighting (Suitable For Up To 200 Guests) - Microphone (Speeches/Announcements) - Music Until Midnight - Travel Costs (First 20 Miles From GU1, Guildford)*** ***Travel is free for the first 20 miles. Thereafter, the rate is 35p per mile (per head) each way. E.g. a 50 mile round-journey (25 miles each way) would cost £21 per head. Public Liability Insurance, PAT and risk assessment documents are all available upon request.

Q: How long does setup take? A: A minimum of 80 minutes required for our 4 - 6 piece line ups. A minimum of 50 minutes required for our 2 - 3 piece acoustic line ups. Timings include load-in, set up and soundcheck.

Cannot recommend The Cheers enough. They performed at our wedding last weekend and we're fantastic. The live music was great and the playlist put together was perfect for the night and they really kept the evening going. Our guests loved it and the dance floor was full until the end ! I was shocked when Ben said we were there first wedding in a long while due to covid, we were none the wiser based on the performance. Ben was very communicative leading up to the event and also understandable last year when we had to cancel our wedding and shift the date. As I said at the start of the review I would recommend The Cheers to anyone in need of a live band.

The Cheers performed at our wedding in August 2021. They were absolutely fantastic and everyone had a brilliant time dancing. The acoustic duo were brilliant too. We couldn’t have wished for a better evening. Ben was great over the last 18 months especially as we had to delay twice but he was very reassuring and we managed to get the day we always wanted in the end. I would highly recommend The Cheers

Perfect day!

We had The Cheers play at our wedding in April and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The band were great fun, very talented and got everyone dancing all night. They listened carefully to our song preferences and created a setlist that was perfect for our wedding style. In addition, they played our first song live which made our first dance extra special. They were professional, helpful and friendly, both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. The communication was clear throughout and they even arrived slightly earlier so that they weren’t setting up during the wedding breakfast. We had been slightly unsure about whether to hire a band as the cost is much higher than a DJ, but we have absolutely no regrets at all, and we would most definitely recommend The Cheers to others.

Without a doubt The Cheers made my birthday! Every single guest commented on how brilliant they were. From the moment of enquiring about booking to packing up on Saturday, the band were so lovely. Ben just understood exactly what I wanted and the fact that they learnt my favourite song and accommodated ten of us singing the chorus was just amazing! Absolutely brilliant

We hired The Cheers for our own wedding this year and they were absolutely wonderful! So easy to deal with and on the night the music was brilliant, everyone was dancing from our 5 year old daughter through to the ‘oldies’!!!! Just a quick note to thank you to you and the band for all your work towards Saturday evening at Chawton Ball. You were prompt and flexible, particularly when our start timings shifted a bit! As I mentioned, there was quite a bit at stake and usual high expectations from the band – and you definitely pulled it off: the dance floor was fit to burst and everyone begged for more! Thanks for creating a playlist for us, too and patiently dealing with the quirks of working with volunteers. Overall the evening was a success (and that’s a huge relief!).

These guys were absolutely superb. We hired them for our wedding. Ben gave a personal call after I enquired, they weren’t part of an agency. Very personable and very easy to talk to. We hadn’t met them before the day and you are never sure how these things can go but they by far exceeded our expectations. They had great energy on the night, which made for an incredible evening of their live tracks. Ben also helped produce a bespoke playlist for us and played these songs when they were not playing live. Fantastic entertainment!

We organised The Cheers to play at our wedding in September 2018, and it was one of the best decisions of the day. I think there are three reasons why I would recommend them: 1. The music is great – The Cheers played a selection of oldies and new music to cater to the tastes of all our guests. We had a lot of kids and they even played some things purposefully to get them on the dance floor with their parents – a lovely touch. They are very talented musicians (with credentials!) and made everything sound great in our venue, even though they only had a short time to sound-check. We received numerous compliments that the band were excellent. They learnt our first dance perfectly and performed it exactly how we wanted. Just fantastic. 2. They are very professional – Our speeches and breakfast overran by about 45 minutes, but the band were extremely accommodating and calm about the delay. They setup extremely quickly to get us back on track and they were thoroughly proficient in breaking down at the end. They brought all their own equipment and everything looked and sounded great. 3. They were very easy to work with – Even though we didn’t meet the band until the day of the wedding, they were extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. Our main point of contact was Ben (the band manager) who was charming, quick to respond to calls and messages and very helpful. Formal arrangements were quick and professional and the entire interaction went very smoothly. Overall, the experience of hiring and hearing The Cheers was faultless. Thank you so much for rounding off our special day with fantastic entertainment.

Perfect wedding band!

We saw The Cheers perform at our friend’s wedding and noticed how they had everyone on the dance floor having a good time, they had an excellent repertoire and stood out among all the weddings we attended that year (6 in total). Getting in contact, a quote and the contracts all sorted was a breeze, with no hidden fees. They were honest and upfront about what the costs would be, and in the end, they were extremely good. Ben was incredible in the run up, super organised and responsive. He really went out of his way to be accommodating and gave us such peace of mind knowing it was all in safe hands. On the day they were fantastic. Many of our friends and family told us how much they loved the evening. The Cheers had everyone up on their feet and made the it a real party we wouldn’t forget! 10/10. If you’re looking for the perfect wedding band, look no further!

Indescriabable atmosphere

We love giving parties and also being guests and this band was the very best we ever experienced – they were fantastic! There were mainly two generations present around 40ish and over 70 and ALL our guests danced all evening, even an 89 year old! The atmosphere was indescribable and even the bar staff were dancing behind the bar. We left it up to the band to choose which songs, just gave them a few of our favourites from their list and that worked so well – as they clearly could read their audience. And to start with the saxophone player coming in on a solo was just brill.
