Smack the 80s

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! You guys were awesome!!!! We had such a great night at the Cloud9‘Back to the 80s’ event. It’s a rare treat to dance to live music and you guys certainly delivered. Hope we can do it again sometime.

Wow! what a band….could not believe how good an 80s sound you produce. Mel was fantastic at getting people up and dancing…everyone had a fab time! Thank you so much for making my day!!

We were impressed from start to finish, with their communication prior to the event, and they were absolutely superb on the night. All guests were astounded at how good the band was, and I would highly recommend Smack The 80s to all.

We have seen other 80s bands and you really are the business ! More enthusiasm, more authentic sounds and great fun ! We felt we were back in 1985 ! Our feet were aching next day ! We shall definitely come and see you again.Thanks for a fabulous night.

Smack the 80s are the ultimate time machine for travelling to arguably the greatest decade for music style and fashion. They use great arrangements and interpretation faithful to the original songs all stamped with the bands own skilled authenticity and spirit (they were around at the time I believe). Smack the 80s will never make you feel you have heard it all before, but instead remind you of the timelessness of a good vocal melody, a gripping enthused rhythm and that the synthesiser can still do things to you aurally in the 21st century you never would have thought possible.

Just wanted to thank you for a great time at the BAWA club last night! I’m sure you could tell how much everyone was enjoying your music by the number of people on the dance floor plus the cheering for more at the end! Come again soon please!

Smack the 80’s are a perfect tribute to the 80’s genre of music and we would thoroughly recommend them. Everyone really enjoyed the night and made reference in particular to the quality and standard of music which made the evening perfect. Extremely friendly band who were willing and able to make the birthday surprise special. We required a band that could create a party atmosphere in store for an important customer Christmas shopping event and chose Smack the 80’s I have to say we were not disappointed! The band were friendly, courteous and mindful of our customers trying to shop around them while setting up. The 80’s vibe was perfect for the Party atmosphere we were trying to create. Customers and partners alike commented on the authentic 80s sound and quality of the musicians. I cannot thank Mike and the band enough.

Thanks to Smack The 80s for a great night last night for my wife Jayne’s surprise Birthday party at Thornbury Golf Centre. Thank you for keeping time for us and basically running the evening – lovely friendly people too. Everyone enjoyed the evening thanks to the great performance of many favourite songs from the past, we will make sure we recommend Smack The 80s to everyone and we will see you again I’m sure. What a fantastic band and amazing experience. We hired Smack The 80s for our wedding and were blown away by the their showmanship, performance quality and their integrity to giving an original 80s sound! We wanted a band that would get people on their feet and Smack The 80s certainly did not disappoint! So many of our guests have commented on a great choice of band and how much energy they injected into the evening! Absolute professionals, we had great communication with the band from our initial booking right up to the day of the event; we cannot thank them enough for making the evening so incredible and memorable!
