The Cragganmore Ceilidh Band are one of the UK’s finest ceilidh bands, providing musical entertainment for weddings, parties, corporate events, functions and special occasions throughout Scotland, the UK and the rest of the world! With more than 30 years of experience within the industry, Cragganmore are a highly professional ceilidh band who offer a reliable, personal service from start to finish. The band have played for ceilidhs at venues throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK, including Gleneagles, Stirling Castle and Hopetoun House, as well as venues abroad within Malaysia and China!

What to expect

The Cragganmore Ceilidh Band understand the importance of musical entertainment and guarantee to make your event both memorable and enjoyable for your guests, providing an energetic, authentic Scottish ceilidh experience. Our unique and individual service allows us to tailor your entertainment package to suit your tastes and budget. We are able to split the evening up with a mixture of both ceilidh and disco music, using our professional sound system and lighting. Cragganmore will also provide a highly experienced caller to talk guests through the dances.

Our Standard Set

7-8pm: Band arrives and to set up and soundcheck. 8-9:30pm: First dance, then ceilidh begins. 9:30-10:15pm: Buffet break, background music. 10:15-11pm: Ceilidh resumes. 11-midnight: DJ From our years of experience, we have found that this format works very well and will ensure your event is a success. Although this is our ‘Standard Set’, we are very flexible and will make sure to tailor your entertainment package to suit your specific requirements.

I would highly recommend this band, they entertained us at our daughter’s 40th birthday party in February, they talked us through all the dances, some of which we had never heard of but thoroughly enjoyed. The floor was never empty, even the children joined in and had fun learning to dance. Excellent value for money too.

The Cragganmore Ceilidh Band did not disappoint! They played at one of the University of St Andrews’ Charity Balls and they ensured we all danced into the night! Dances were clearly called, there was a mix of old and new ones (even for the Scots!), the music was amazing and very lively, and everyone had the best time! I would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Cragganmore recently played at my Daughter and Son-In-Law’s wedding at Balbirnie house. They couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating before and during the event. Their playing is of an extremely high standard with a really fun energy. They played for exactly the right amount of time and took a couple of breaks so we could get our breath back. The dance floor was very busy, and everyone had a fantastic night celebrating. The perfect band for the perfect Scottish wedding. Thank you Cragganmore!
